Once upon a time. . .

“Enjoying the local vibe. And yes, after 16 years of living in Hong Kong, I do speak Cantonese!

This story’s origin starts in Hong kong. A wonderful place that I got to call home for 16 years filled with so many adventures and experiences - worth a coffee morning meet up for sure! During that part of my story, when the little blue buttons came in to my life, I was running a small bag making studio where we were recycling rice bags, utilizing local fabric samples, and bringing our unique offerings to the local markets. The little blue buttons first came to us as stowaways. We found them hidden in one of our bulk bag fabric purchases - put there to increase the price by weight! Not letting this slight of hand ‘weigh us down’ we looked for how we might best put them to use. We settled on including one little blue button on each of our products as a reminder to use what is available and to make the most out of the situations you find yourself in. Although that special little studio and the treasures we were making came to the end of it’s chapter, the lessons learned still ring true.

Since moving back to the states I’ve continued a path of learning and curiosity. I’d had experience with florals and event decor in Hong Kong and leaned in to crafting with fresh flowers as I started my new chapter in the states. Newly married and adjusting to living on another continent I leaned in to my floral craft to keep my creativity alive.

And now, 10 years later, here we are. A new chapter, a new beginning, and I’m bringing the little blue buttons along for the ride! They represent possibilities to me, magic in the small things, joy in the simple things, and I just really like the color. For now I’ll continue to lean in to my elevated floral offerings. For those of you who know me from the blue button bag days. . . let’s just say the winds are blowing and neither I, nor the little blue buttons, quite know what will be coming next!
